By visiting fightforzero.org, or using the email or chat features of this site, you agree to follow the terms and conditions of this Online Privacy Policy. This Online Privacy Policy applies only to the fightforzero.org website, and not to the websites of any other organizations to which we may link or that may link to us.
Online Chat and Email:
Any information that you share during an Online Chat session will be viewed only by the trained professional assisting you, and a supervisor from CSLC for quality control purposes.
If you complete the anonymous feedback survey at the end of your session, that feedback may be shared with the trained professional assisting you, and with management personnel at CSLC. We will never ask for your name or any personally identifiable information, or attach any feedback to information that you provide during your Online Chat session in order to keep your session anonymous. The online chat feature of this site does not capture any personally identifiable information about you or your computer, before, during or after your session. We request that, for your own safety, you do not provide any personally identifiable information when you use the Online Chat feature of this website.
The information and text conveyed by you to our trained professional during your online chat session is intended to be part of a private conversation between you and the trained professional, and will not be recorded, stored, saved, or catalogued by CSLC. In order to determine satisfaction rates, usage levels, average session lengths and other recordkeeping information, CSLC will maintain a database that contains the feedback provided at the conclusion of your session and the start and stop time of each session. None of the data kept by CSLC can be used to personally identify you.
The Online Hotline does NOT place any permanent or persistent cookies on your computer, although fightforzero.org does use session cookies (see below). The cookies placed by fightforzero.org cannot be used to identify you as a user of the Online Hotline.
How We Protect Your Security:
CSLC does not store any information from the fightforzero.org website on our server. All information is automatically deleted. Emails sent to the hotline are automatically deleted after 7 days.
Absolute security does not exist anywhere on the internet; however, we believe that we have taken appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information. We cannot completely assure you that your communications with us will never be disclosed in a manner inconsistent with this policy and make no representations or warranties regarding the sufficiency of our security measures.
There may be certain circumstances where CSLC will be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties as we believe is necessary or appropriate, in connection with the investigation of a crime, mandatory reporting laws, fraud, intellectual property infringement, or other activity that is illegal, or may expose us, or you, to liability. Also, if we fear that you are in danger of committing suicide, or are under 13 years of age, we may be required to disclose whatever information you have provided to the appropriate authorities. Our Policy Regarding Children
We are concerned about the safety and privacy of children who use the Internet. Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, we will never knowingly request Personally Identifiable Information from anyone under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with Personally Identifiable Information through our online chat session or through email communication without verifiable parental consent, we will use our best efforts to remove such information from our files. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personally Identifiable Information through fightforzero.org without verifiable parental consent, he or she should contact CSLC at 724.652.9206 x 111 or info@crisisshelter.org.

We are committed to respecting the privacy and integrity of those we serve and to keeping all aspects of their relationship with us confidential to the fullest extent possible. We consider this ethic to apply to anyone who seeks our help in any form, whether or not she/he is registered formally as a client.
Confidential communication is all the information and observation, oral or written, transmitted between a victim of domestic violence and/or sexual assault and a domestic violence/sexual assault center staff member in the course of their relationship including, but not limited to, any advice, reports, statistical data, records or the like, given or made during that relationship. Any and all knowledge, advice, records or the like even the fact that an individual is a client or has had contact with the program is confidential and will not be shared with any third party (see exceptions below). Confidential communication between domestic violence/sexual assault center staff and domestic violence and/or sexual assault clients shall be governed by statute and case law.
Exceptions to confidential communication are as follows:
1. If a situation of incompetency exists and a legal guardian has been appointed for the client.
2. If a situation involves a life-saving or life-threatening emergency.
3. In situations involving suspected child abuse when the center staff member is mandated by law to report such abuse.
4. The confidential client relationship does not absolve a center staff member from the responsibility to report the intent to commit a crime.
We have designed our online support and information site with your privacy and safety as a top priority. Before entering your chat session with an online professional please read and agree to our terms of services.
